--
I got hit hard, I'm on the ground
And if you swing again I'll duck
And I wish you the best of luck
You deserve yourself
And I return from my trip to hell
As a headless horseman
Oh what a loss
I went back to get my stuff
And it was tangled up and tough
I stood there and stared you down
And I walked aimlessly around
With a flaming pumpkin head
Oh what a loss
My soft hands replaced by claws
You turned me into a stray dog, from mighty human man
Oh what a loss
Oh what a loss
I miss my closest friend
And now I cling to rocks and wind
It's a precious thing we lost

Brian Giwojna's Horror Movie Month; Volume 3
Blackenstein
1973
Director: William A. Levey
This movie was kind of boring and anti-climatic. Dr. Stein is a Nobel-prize winning scientist who is a genius with DNA. Winifred, an old student of Stein's, shows up at
his home asking him to help her out. Winifred's fiance Eddie, is a Vietnam veteran who has lost both his arms and legs. Dr. Stein thinks he can help him out and they go to work. Meanwhile, Malcomb, Dr. Stein's assistant, falls in love with Winifred and becomes jealous of her love for Eddie. He switches Eddie's DNA and turns him into a ruthless monster.

Tenebre / Unsane
1982
Director: Dario Argento
This movie takes place in Rome, Italy and follows the story of Peter Neal, a writer from New York. Neal travels to Rome for business and shortly after his arrival, murders begin and are associated with his latest book, Tenebre. This dark, mysterious thriller brings a lot of blood to the table with an assortment of malicious slayings. Not to mention, the twist ending! Definitely check this film out! I'm going to look into more of his films. (Suspiria, Inferno, Demons & Creepers)

Hard Shirts Vol. 2
I got this at Northern Thrift in the kids section. This is a very demanding shirt, it makes you really want to shut your mouth and get your fishing rod out. Jake's dad also has a "shut up and fish" shirt. Jim is the hardest person I know, so obviously, this shirt is off the radar hard.
This is my favorite shirt of all time. I will never, ever throw this out. I got this at the basketball camp I attended at the high school. I had a lot of good times at that camp. I won the Knockout tournament for my team and a food fight occured in the lunch room. These memories make this shirt amazing. If I ever have a hardcore band again, we are making a rip-off shirt of this! That is one fucking cool basketball.
This shirt is a classic. I got this on April 17th, so this shirt is already high on the scale. For some of you that don't know, April 17th is my lucky day of the year where nothing goes wrong. I have seen countless shows on this date, gotten awesome gifts, had free train rides, amongst other exceptional things. This was the minor league team for the Yankees, I believe. We went to a game during one of our trips to Mystic, CT. Mystic is indeed "Hardness Capital of the World."
Here is another fine example of why Sarah is just too amazing. She got me this for my birthday and I was super happy. Puffins are tops on the bird list and Barbara's Bakery's cereal Puffins are delicious. Maine seems like a really nice place to go, I would love to drive up there sometime! The yellow color adds to the hardness factor.
I shouldn't have to say a word about this shirt. Wayne's World is just too good. I wear this with pride wherever I go. This shirt might disagree in the fact that they are the greatest rock'n'rollers of all time, but they are indeed the hardest.
Here's a playlist for the show I shall be attending on Saturday!

I'm Back
Friday afternoon, in Philadelphia, Brian Giwojna asked the world a question: How many Drift Again 7"s can you find and buy in one day? The answer to that question? 3

These were $2.00, $2.00 & $.50. Pretty darn good if you ask me. Other finds of the day:
Mineral/Jimmy Eat World/Sensefield - 3 Way Split 7" - $1.98
Joshua - Joshua 7" - $2.00
Calm - Moonraker 7" - $2.00
Snakefinger - The Spot 7" - $.50
Talking Heads - Burning Down The House 7" - $1.98
Erroll Garner - Concert By The Sea LP - $1.98
Pixies - Doolittle CS - $1.00
Pixies - Surfer Rosa CS - $1.00
Sugar - Beaster CS - $1.00
Wow, looking back at it, those prices are amazing.
I'm excited about this:

This will be a limited interactive book written and put together by myself and it should be coming out in Mid-September.
There will only be 25 of these, so let me know if you want one.
Also coming out next month are these tapes:

Lentil - Sunshine & Blow Job Eyes - "_________". Both of these are limited to 50.
I also have some more surprises up my sleeve that you will be seeing soon.

Hard Shirts
Typically, kids like to post all the really awesome hardcore/straight edge shirts they own. (xShirtsx, TeeTillDeath) I was going to do this as well, but decided to do it a little differently. I'll do 5 today and continue with more as time progresses. Here we go!

This shirt rules so hard.I purchased this at Northern Thrift in Huntington. One day while on the subway, Sarah & I noticed two Japanese girls talking about my shirt, so we asked what the back meant. They said, with puzzled faces, "It means sheep." This makes this shirt 100X better. Japanese Art also rules, so this shirt can't be stopped.

Sarah got this shirt for me for my birthday. This is a perfect example of why she is an amazing girlfriend. Deers + repping your home state = super hard. I want to wear this shirt to other states and see them back off in fear.

This shirt is a classic. I received this shirt in 5th grade, when everyone was a part of this contest. I still wear it to this day. At Ongathon 2005, two people said they actually won the trivia challenge and didn't even have the shirt anymore. Not winning and having this shirt > winning and not having this shirt.

Sarah used to own this shirt and decided to pass its hardness down to myself. The front has quotes from Caesar and the back has these quotes again, but in English. This is also done to show the effect of how hard these quotes really are. Caesar is repping some GB on number 8 while crossing the Rubicon. This shirt rules.

First off, it's fucking Uno. Secondly, this shirt reps the 1980s. Thirdly, I have three of them. Therefore, the hardness is tripled. Who doesn't like a good game of Uno?
Now, here's some hard bands:

I also got this CD at Empire Discs before it closed. This is an earlier release than the last and the 48inthebasement tracks are excellent, once again. I don't know too much about the Microwave Orphans. Download this and enjoy.

48inthebasement / The Backup Plan
Hurry Up And Wait Split CD
2000
Coal Miner Records | Refried Records

48inthebasement
The Backup Plan
I picked this split CD up from Empire Discs when it was still open. I got it used for $8.95. I was fascinated with the public access show "The Slack Pack" (Slacker TV) when I was younger and the lead singer of 48inthebasement was one of the main guys on the show. On the show, they showed the music video for "Lauren Said Not To Make Fun of Her" and I was very impressed. The video showed clips from Evil Dead, one of my favorite movies at the time. I find it funny that I bought this CD for the 48inthebasement side because The Backup Plan are a pretty big Long Island hardcore band and a lot of people I know really enjoy them. I'm included in that group of people. Every song on this split is good. Download this now!

3 Day Weekend
3 Day Weekend
2003
Self Released

Download
I picked this album up around the same time as the Cruisin' for a Bruisin' Volume 2 Compilation. 3 Day Weekend played at the fair around the block from my house & sold these CDs while walking around. 3 Day Weekend were a big ska band at the time and would play shows at the Bethpage Teen Center, as well as other venues, quite often. The first song on this entitled "Newni" was my jam. "40 Second Love Song" also got a lot of plays from me back in the day as well. I always pointed out that the song was a little over 40 seconds. This CD also has their hit song "Ska Whore" re-recorded from an older version. This whole album is very catchy actually. Here's the track listing:
1. Newni
2. Up to Par
3. 40 Second Love Song
4. Ska Whore
5. Foundation

Cruisin' for a Bruisin' Volume 2
2003
PE500 Music

Part 1
Part 2
This is probably the most obscure CD I own. I bought this at a Bethpage Teen Center show about 6 years ago. This was back when ska and pop punk were really huge on Long Island. I can't find any information about it online. There is a website on the back, but it is no longer functioning. I just found Volume 1 on Amazon! I'm totally going to buy this. There isn't much information about this one either. I find very strange because a lot of popular Long Island bands appear on here. I'm not too sure if this High School Football Heroes song is on any other release. There is an unlisted bonus track on here as well. Here's the track listing for Volume 2:
1. As Tall As Lions - And the Wick Burnt Black
2. Chance of a Lifetime - Because of Me
3. Floffus - Taking the Long Way Home
4. The Madison Chase - The Advil Moment
5. Tripside - Let's Go Down
6. Instant Reaction - Non Sexual Crush
7. Second to Last - Fallaway
8. Patent Pending - Yellow Snow
9. Kamino - Fate Keeps Fading
10. Last One Left - What's Right For Me (Live)
11. The Descent - Imperfection
12. Capital T - Another Way
13. The Verdicts - Everything Holidays
14. The Fad - Bright Lights and Texaco Stations
15. The Livingbrooks - Shi is Death
16. Sprout - Importance of the Deal
17. Plimpton 32 - K.M.I.A.
18. The Arrogant Sons of Bitches - Abandon Ship (Live)
19. High School Football Heroes - Until Tomorrow
20. Various Artists - ???
